We believe that the sustainability of our projects involve four crucial components:
1. Local people accepting ownership and taking pride in the project;
2. The creation of local micro businesses that help provide funding for our schools and orphanages;
3. A commitment to cost-savings / low overhead;
4. Long-Term Solutions emphasizing community involvement and project self-sustainability.
To date, Solace has built or renovated 18 schools worldwide providing an education for more than 12,000 students. Vocational programs and income generating Cottage Industry projects started by Solace provide revenue to over 500 artisans. |
